Moosey

Shelly see'd a moose! About damn time! People are always like, "Moose this" and "Moose that" up here (in the Ver-monts)...  Turns out they're as real as the Tooth Fairy and Jeebus!
Even squirrels gotta sleep. I just never caught one at it!
 Yup. The "bird" feeder.
Loons. As close as I could get to them...
Beaver. Doin' beaver stuff. On Glen Lake.
Glen Lake, Vermont. Yeah, I'm there often...
 Unidentified frog in the backyard.
View from the "marble patio" looking to the backyard. Them's peonies flowers.
From the garden: (toddy) Tater plants in the foreground and greem beans in the back...
 Peas!
 Danger... on Lake Bomoseen!
Good weather for yard work! Some wicked thunderstorms come through on Sundee.

Wild Turkey

 Wild Turkeys... in the backyard.
Tree Frog? Don't know what kind... on the trail up Mount Hadley (near the house).
Bobcat track on the same trail. Didn't see it around unfortunately.
Drums on a pole at the top of (I think) Mount Hadley.
 The view looking south...
Looking southwest... that's Route 4 on the right.
And west toward New York (by the way, the left lane is for passing!) over the hang glider ramp...
A rat snake near Glen Lake...
The remains of the box spring. RIP 2005 - 2012. So many memories.
A northern pike from Lake Bomoseen.

Hot Flashes

On Marble Street in West Rutland, Vermont after a thunderstorm...
Chipmunk at Lake Bomoseen. Carrying what looks like, but may not be, a nut.
The grass was about a foot high (or more). Mowing became a top priority.
 Shelly paints.
 Shpackeling.
The tractor done busted when we tried mowin'. Thought we might could fix it, an' that's what we done. Turn'd out, was the mower's belt. We got one at the Tractor Supply and put 'er on.
 Lake Bomoseen at the campground.
More Lake Bomoseen. It's a big lake.
 Terlot, check. Vanity, check.
 Medicine cabinet, check.
Inside an actual quarry near Wallingford, Vermont.
One of the original doors that was in the barn, before rehab.
Same door, after rehab (i.e. paint).
The same sunset as before, that's Marble Street.
West Rutland Marsh is in the foreground.
Flowers is crazy. What is this? I have no idea.
The neighbor's cat. Without a doubt, he's up to no good. If you let your cat outside; you ride with Hitler. I've been trying to work that into the blog for about a year now.
View of the church from the backyard...
