Fall Ahead

"Thundering Falls" just off the Appalacio Trail near Killington, Vermonts. I couldn't get a good picture cause the dang water kept moving.
There are even rules in the woods here! Respect wildlife, for your health!
On the Appalachian Trail near Killington... Who knows what Trail Magic is? I can only assume it was free weed! Oh, you silly hippies!
Our resident marmot. As seen here, I caught the woodchuck peeing!
Squirrel drinking out of the bird bath?
 Yup!
Missing trash pickup... :( In the Vermonts you has to get rid of your own damn trash.
Why have one donkey when you can have three?! Dronkeys are a man's best friend. Near Florence, Vermonts.
Pigs from the Foxcroft Farm "Harvest Festival".
More Foxcroft pigs... and one big Mother.
I've often wondered, where is this Land of Milk & Honey? Apparently the folks at the Foxcroft Farm think they have all the answers. Well, I still don't know... but I don't like milk; and I think honey is sticky.
That sure is a lot of prumpkins! Be careful when you're cuttin' them up! It's always sad to see so many kids missing fingers. How will they count? With their minds?
Again from the Harvest Festival... I can't really explain this at all. Maybe this table was for the bad kids. They'd learn to behave after eating an apple with a burger flippy thing!

Vermont Woodcock

So... the stackable washer and dryer wouldn't fit up the stairs. Let us all agree to never speak of it again!
Fix'd. The clothes line done fell down, just needed a little cement (pronounced "C-meant") and an egg box.
Enjoy the view... forever! This boneyard is near Camp Plymouth State Park...
Shelly does her best explorer pose overlooking Echo Lake near Ludlow, Vermont... this was just moments before she was captured by the fashion police!
This is a woodcock near the marsh in West Rutland. Also known as the timberdoodle, bog-sucker, night partridge and the labrador twister.
A flower from our field of flowers. The neighbors cut 'em down, but I leaves 'em.
Mr. Hawk. He's always watching us with his peepers. He's kinda creepy that way... but I guess I was watching him too... hmmm...

Rabbitch Season

The animals are photographed often enough that they've begun to pose...
 Strip-o-munk?
 The internet's most amazing hair.
View of the Rutland "Airport" from the Appalachian / Long Trail near Clarendon...
The Rabbitch relaxes after a long day...
A spring peeper... in the summer! Will the global warming madness never end?!
Thanks to the Craig & Stacey we finally started putting the floor down in the "library".
 Almost done!
I got to use this! Saws are fun.
"Finished"! Actually it is not. Still have to do transoms in each door, trim, paint, molding and clean the damn windows.

SummerFunTime

Barn owl! Outside of it's natural habitat, which is a barn. From the VINS Nature Center. They rehabilitate birds of prey that have been injured (mostly by cars!). You people really need to start riding bikes.
Chittenden Reservoir in the Chittenden, Vermont. It's a great place to kayak.
We agreed that we need to come back in the fall.

Hummingbird at the Mountain Top Inn... The Inn overlooks Chittenden Reservoir, awesome views and the food's good too.
The Long Trail at the Brandon Gap... near the Brandon, Vermont. Gap sounds negative to me, as if there's all this fun stuff on both sides; but there's a gap in between that you don't want to be in. 'Cause it's crappy.
The Brandon Gap from the top.
This is what the marble quarries of West Rutland look like now... Full of water and the corpses of countless drunken teens that thought it would be a good place to swim.
More marble quarry... Alas, you can't see any corpses from the shore.
